Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Friend, 90, widow of the late

John B. Friend, of Swanton, who died last Thursday, February 22,

at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Landis, Long's Island,

near McCoole, Allegany county, were conducted Sunday afternoon

from the Swanton Methodist church, Rev.. Reece Burns, pastor of

Bethel Methodist church, Mt. Lake Park, officiated, assisted by

Rev. C. W. Fraker, of McHenry. Mrs. Friend had been in ill

health for several years.

Mrs. Friend is survived by the following children, Mrs. Henry

Johnston, Swanton; Mrs. Lawson Wright, Deer Park; Mrs. William T.

Warnick, Swanton; Mrs. Clyde Landis, near McCoole; Mrs. Burr

Saville, Romney, WV; Fred, John B. and Robert Friend, of Swanton;

Gilbert and Walter Friend, of Cumberland.

Interment was in the United Brethren cemetery at Swanton.
