Andrew Friend, aged 69 years and 16 days, died November
9th at
his home near Friendsville. His death was a great shock to his
many relatives and friends at
and near is late residence. Mr.
Friend was a farmer and producer of coal. He was exceedingly
happy and cheerful at all times,
with a smile and kind word for
his acquaintances. His wife died twelve years ago. He is
survived by the following
children: Mrs. W. H. Ferguson, Elder,
Layman, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. E. V. Showe,
who resided with their
father. Mr. Friend was a member of the
M.
E. Church.
